Marcia L. Berube Jackson

Marcia L. Berube Jackson (nee Huelsman), 78, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home on July 7, 2026. She lived with a rare form of dementia for many years. Marcia was born in Dayton, Ohio to the late Ralph and Marie Huelsman. She was raised in St. Henry, Ohio and graduated from St. Henry High School in 1966. As an adult, Marcia made Newark, Ohio her home.

Marcia was devoted to her family and her faith. She was very active in the lives of her children as cub and girl scout leader, room mom, and volunteer school nurse aide. She supported junior high track and football teams and was a dedicated band mom for The Pride of Newark Marching Band. Marcia volunteered at her church homes and sang in their choirs.

Marcia’s dedication to her family continued with her grandson. She helped during his early years and supported his para-swimming journey as he advanced to national and international levels, including the Tokyo Paralympics.

Marcia married Sam Muhlenkamp in 1968, Richard Berube in 1982, and Jerry Jackson in 2005.

Marcia is survived by her children, Greg (Missy Mangold) Muhlenkamp of Martin City, Montana and Sandra (Jody) Muhlenkamp-Peppersack of Chester, Virginia, and her grandson, Joseph Peppersack (Gaby Christian) of Richmond, Virginia. Marcia was a loving step-mom to Michael (Robin) Berube of Ogden, Utah and Marthe (Bryan) Stasky of Newark, Ohio, and step-grandchildren Daylen, Ryan and Liam. Marcia loved the family and grandchildren of Jerry Jackson. She will be missed by her sisters, Barb (Mike) Gerard of Wooster, Oh, Karen (Jim) Jilek of Gahannah, OH, Mary Jane D’Eramo of Tyler, TX, and her brother, Jerry (Cindy) Huelsman of St. Henry, OH, plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Marcia was preceded in death by her husband Richard (2004) and husband Jerry (2023). She was also preceded by her brother, Tom Huelsman, sister-in-law Birdie Huelsman, and brother-in-law, Mark D’Eramo.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home. The visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark, OH. The graveside service is reserved for the family. Marcia will be interred at Maple Grove Cemetery in Alexandria, Ohio.
