Margretta Rosemary (McClain) West

A funeral service for Margretta Rosemary (McClain) West, 79, of Newark, OH, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with Pastor Mark Falls officiating. Burial will follow at Newark Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2024, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark.

Margretta passed away July 16, 2024, at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Care Center. She was born February 26, 1945, in Newark, OH, to the late Arthur and Helen (Horst) McClain.

Margretta graduated from Newark High School. She was a Home Health Aide for the Licking County Aging Program and was employed at Licking Memorial Hospital for several years. She was a lifetime member of Newark Eagles 387, Eagle Riders, and Moose Lodge.

She is survived by her children, Kimberly Parkhill Williams, Brian (Cindy) Parkhill, and Ricky (Carrie) West; grandchildren, Lauren and Allison Williams, David, Daniel, Caleb, and Christian Parkhill, Cory West, Tyler (Kaitlynn) Curtis, Brendon West, and Hunter and Ashlyn Celeschi; great-grandchildren, Cameron and Allison Curtis; sister-in-law, Juanita McClain; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; special lifelong friend, Marty Mauller; friends of the family, Melanie and Jake Hottinger, and she leaves behind her special fur baby Gidget.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert, Donald, and Carl McClain.
