Mark Allen Moody

A gathering to celebrate the life of Mark Allen Moody, 70, of Columbus, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 29, 2022, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark.

Mark passed away May 21, 2022, at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center. He was born May 2, 1952, in Newark, to the late Ralph and Freda (Brucker) Moody.

Mark spent most of his life working in the oil field. He was a long-time member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the American Assoc. of Petroleum Geologists. He loved his family and his dogs, golfing, cheering on the Buckeyes, riding his Harley, and spending time with his many friends. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Kathy (Gambrel) Moody; sons, Adam (Leslie Lockard) Moody and Matt (Mallory) Moody; brothers, Fred (Sandy) Moody and Steve (Lana Ocker) Moody; grandson, Mason Moody, and other family members.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the American Heart Association, two charities that Mark proudly supported.
