Obituary

With profound sadness, we announce the unexpected passing of Markus Hans-Jurgen Schwamb, who left this world peacefully in his sleep on October 19, 2026, in Newark, Ohio. Born on June 20, 1984, in Los Angeles, California, Markus brought light and joy into the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His untimely departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Markus was a cherished son to Jurgen and Penny Schwamb. A devoted father to his beloved children, Joseph and Allison Schwamb. He is also survived by his loving brother Jeremy Schwamb and his wife Ashley Schwamb, with their two children Michael Newman and Elijah Coley. Sister Michelle Schwamb and her two children Jerome King and Mikyla King. Grandparents Henry T. Greene, and Trude Greene, Close cousin Amanda Stapleton-Pennington and her partner Shawn Pennington and four children Patience Stapleton, Xander Pennington, Sonja Pennington, and Sage Stapleton-Pennington. All of whom will forever carry his spirit in their hearts. As well as many other friends and family. Though he was single at the time of his passing, Markus maintained a respectful relationship with his ex-partner, prioritizing the well-being and happiness of their children.

An alumnus of COTC, Markus was a man of many interests, with a particular passion for cars, video games, and fishing. These hobbies were not just pastimes but opportunities for him to bond with family and friends, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime. His enthusiasm for life was evident in every facet of his being, surpassed only by his unwavering love for his family.

Markus’s legacy is one of laughter, love, and kindness. He had an extraordinary ability to make those around him feel valued and included, a rare gift that he shared generously. His heart of gold and his ever-present humor were hallmarks of his character, and he was a best friend to many. His laughter and warmth brightened the lives of those around him, and his absence will be deeply felt by all.

Predeceased by his dear great grandfather Henry Greene SR, great grandmother Irene Greene, grandfather Donald N. Lamb SR, grandmother Kathleen Z. Lamb, uncle Thomas Stapleton, aunt Lori Frost, aunt Rene' Lamb, uncle Dave Myers, and cousin Jack Bentley, Markus is now reunited with those he loved and lost.

As we celebrate the life of Markus Hans-Jurgen Schwamb, we remember him as a loving son, a caring brother, and a loyal friend. His time, effort, love, and humor were gifts to us all, and his spirit will continue to inspire and guide us.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Markus's name to a charity of your choice, honoring his generous and caring nature.

Markus will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who had the honor of knowing him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love he gave so freely in life.
