Mary Jane (Northey) Redd, age 89, of Newark, passed away at Riverside Methodist Hospital Saturday, September 19, 2026. She was born in Newark, Ohio on August 24, 1937, to the late Robert and Mildred (Grove) Northey.

Mary was an independent woman who loved her family and spending time with them. She enjoyed gardening, relaxing in her pool, and rooting for The Ohio State Buckeyes football team.

She is survived by her children, Karla Redd, Rhonda (Russell) Egan, Greg (Jennifer) Redd, Tina (David) Handley, and Dona (Dale) Jagger; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Cora Boesch; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Jack Northey, Gloria Smith, and Joel Northey.

Visitation will be held from 11am-12pm Wednesday, September 30, 2026, followed by a 12pm memorial service, Pastor Joe Leighton officiating.
