Obituary

Mary Lou (Baker) Willey, age 79, of Heath, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 3, 2026, at Altercare Lanfair. She was born on June 17, 1946, in Newark, to the late Delbert and Pauline (Farbee) Baker.

Mary was a kind and compassionate woman who found joy in caring for others. She loved animals, lending a helping hand whenever she could, and most of all, cherishing time spent with her family and friends—especially her beloved grandchildren.

She shared 46 years of marriage with Leonard “Gene” Willey. Though they later parted ways, they remained the best of friends, a testament to their enduring bond.

Mary dedicated many years of her life working as a beautician and was also employed at The Limited. Through her work and daily life, she touched many with her warmth and generosity.

She is survived by her children, Ed (Tracy) Willey and Darren (Lori) Willey; her grandchildren, Dominique, Zackery (Jenna), Kyle, Alex (Kylie), and Alyssa; and her great-grandchildren, Jude, Lincoln, and Ava. She is also survived by her brothers, Bob (Cheryl) Baker and Charlie Baker, and her sister-in-law, Roxanne Baker.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brothers, Ronnie Baker, Gary Baker, and Delbert Baker; her sister, Hazel Armstrong; and her special friend, Robert Reid.

Family and friends may call from 5:00–7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, and from 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, immediately following visitation, with Pastor Lisa Willey officiating. A graveside service will follow at Wilson Cemetery.
