In Loving Remembrance of Melody Grace Schulz.

Melody passed away on June 23rd, 2025 at 20 months old after an almost year long battle with a rare form of AML.

Melody was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 3rd, 2023 to parents, Molly and David Schulz.

Melody was an amazing little girl, full of joy, laughter, smiles and love. Her smile was contagious and she had a happiness that radiated from her in all things. She never met a stranger and had the gift of
brightening even the hardest day, with her adorable smile, big huggies and tender kisses. Melody had so much love to give, she would kiss every rock and hug every leaf. She met every moment, no matter how happy, painful or hard with an attitude of resilience and joy. In situations where most children would have been melting down, Melody would smile, dance and snuggle in. She loved animals, and had a tenderness with all living things, that most toddlers have to be taught, but she just knew how to be gentle and kind. Any scary or painful moment could be made better with her favorite song, Hot Dog, and every transfusion, long hospital days, or sleepless nights could be made better with one of her favorite movies, Moana (1 & 2) or Frozen (1 & 2). Before Melody's passing she was starting to learn more and more words, her favorite of which was Donald Duck.

Melody will forever be the love of her parents' life and the most amazing gift to her entire family. Melody was taken from this world too soon, but the joy she created, will continue on. Melody is now living with her heavenly Father, free from the pain of cancer. Although she will be missed every moment, her parents and family know that this is not goodbye and look forward to the day where they will be joined with her again. Heaven has gained an amazing little soul.

Melody's parents and family invite you to join them in celebrating Melody's joyful life on Saturday, June 28th at Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home in Newark, Ohio. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. immediately followed by a celebration of life service at 3 p.m.

In honor of Melody's happy and joyful spirit, we ask that everyone please refrain from wearing black and instead wear a colorful outfit that makes you smile.

We understand that some may want to send flowers, however, in lieu of flowers we would ask that you help us honor one of Melody's greatest loves, her animals, through donating to a special memorial that will be created at Walking Wild and allow her family and all that visit to celebrate her memory and the animals she loved.
