Newark
Michael Dean "Logger" Dillman
A Celebration of Life for Michael Dean "Logger" Dillman, 64, of Newark will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Old Country Church, 101 S. 5th St. Newark, OH, 40355.
Logger passed away October 25, 2025, at his residence. He was born May 7, 1961, in Portland, Indiana, to Joanna B. (Snider) Dillman, and the late Willis K. Dillman, Jr.
Logger spent his life doing what he loved. He worked for Universal Veneer since 1981, where he became a world-renowned log buyer, respected across the industry for his knowledge, honesty, and dedication. Outside of work, Logger found his true freedom on the open road, riding his Harleys whenever he could. He was a hard-working, loyal, and dedicated man, a friend you could always count on, and someone who left a mark on everyone lucky enough to know him.
Ride free, Logger. You gave your all in this life—and now it's your turn to rest easy.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Dustin (Lora) Dillman; brother, Steve (Tess) Dillman; sisters, Karen (Gordon) Emerson and Melissa (Phil) Painter, and great friend/owner of Universal Veneer, Klaus Krajewski.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ernie Dillman.
