Molly Ann Long

A visitation for Molly Ann Long, 79, of Newark, OH, will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark, OH. A private burial will be held at Lutheran Cemetery.

Molly passed away March 24, 2026, at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born February 4, 1947, in Newark, OH, to the late Evan "Pete" and Dorothy (Clay) Gomerdinger.

Molly was a 1965 graduate of Newark High School. She dedicated many years of service to both State Farm Insurance and Lakewood Local Schools before retiring. At the time of her passing, she was serving as the Franklin Township Fiscal Officer, a role she held with commitment and care. Molly was known for her kindness, infectious laughter, and genuine love for others- qualities that touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She had a deep passion for sports, especially cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Cincinnati Reds. She also enjoyed bowling, but nothing brought her more joy than watching her grandchildren play sports.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Mike Long; children, Mandy (Kevin) McFarland and Matt Long, and grandchildren, Kylee and Cullen McFarland.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Tom Gomerdinger.
