Myrna Sue Bishop, 79, of Newark, died Thursday, May 22, 2025 at her home. She was born August 13, 1945 in Lima, OH to the late Rev. Lawrence and Arline (Baltzell) Burden.

Myrna enjoyed crocheting and watching her grandchildren play sports. She operated her own business repairing sewing machines and embroidery. She also drove a school bus for the Licking County MRDD program and worked at Johnstown Elementary in the school cafeteria.

She is survived by her daughters, Ronda Bishop and Laurine (Kevin) Anderson; grandchildren, Merissa, Scott and Matthew; sister, Pamela (Tod "Buddy") Rapp; and several nieces, nephews and great nieces.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, G. Ronald Bishop; and son, Ken Bishop.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Myrna to the American Cancer Society.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2025 from 11-1 pm at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N, 21st St., Newark where the funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Marvin Haught officiating. Burial will follow the service at Maple Grove Cemetery in Alexandria.
