Nancy Ellen Oxier

A funeral service for Nancy Ellen Oxier, 86, of Thornville, OH, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2024, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Newark Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2024, at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark.

Nancy passed away April 22, 2024, at Country Lane Gardens. She was born August 31, 1937, in Harrison, County, WV, to the late John O. and Beulah K. (Thompson) Hurst.

Nancy enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She was a Sunday School teacher and Jr. church teacher. She had worked at Sears and volunteered at Licking Memorial Hospital

She is survived by her sons, Douglas (Lisa) Oxier and Eric Oxier; brother, John Hurst; granddaughter, Felicia (Blaze) Ellis; great-granddaughter, Norene Ellis, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. Oxier; four brothers, and one sister.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
