Ned William Rosengarten

     Dr. Ned William Rosengarten, age 55, passed away suddenly on Friday, August 7, 2026, at his home in Newark, Ohio. Ned was born on June 10, 1971, in Circleville, Ohio to William “Bill” Rosengarten and Jean Rosengarten.

     He graduated from Circleville High School in 1989. Ned received a Bachelor of Science from Ohio University. He then went on to graduate from Illinois College of Optometry, and practiced as an optometrist since 1998. He began at Shawnee Optical in Mt Vernon, Ohio, and then practiced at LensCrafters in Heath, Ohio for 25 years. Ned will be remembered for his friendly smile and genuine kindness.

     Ned was a caring and considerate man who was loved by many. He was deeply dedicated to his work and, above all, devoted to his family and loved ones. His generosity, compassion, and unwavering love were recognized by those fortunate enough to know him. Ned will be remembered with great love and gratitude and will be missed deeply by all who knew him.

     Ned is survived by his daughter, Megan, of Brooklyn, New York; mother, Jean, of Newark, Ohio; father, William “Bill” of Ottawa, Ohio; sister, Jill (Ryan) Moore of Bristow, Virginia; and niece, Macy, of Bristow, Virginia.

     He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur Rosengarten and Thelma Rosengarten Kuhlman, and Edwin and Angela Morman.  

     There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Newark, Ohio on August, 25th, 2026, at 10am, with Father Anish Thomas, and visitation beginning at 9am at the church.  There will be a private burial at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Kalida, Ohio.
