Nellie Noel Hayes - April 14, 1995 to March 30, 2024

Ever since Nellie was little, she wanted to get married and be a mom. In her youth at 4-H, she developed a caring for animals that gave her such compassion and a heart for life. She loved animals and people deeply. Once she became pregnant she made so many sacrifices to care for the life growing inside of her. She would constantly caress her pregnant belly and look at it with adoration knowing Elleanor was growing and soon to be here with the growing family.

Nellie gave love to her home and husband. Like Jesus, her love was relentless and unconditional. She loved her family and community the same.

Nellie was afraid of nothing and no one, she always had her heart on her sleeve and told it the way she saw it. She was a determined woman (although easily distracted by cows) with an even greater determination to be a great mother.

Nellie and Elleanor Hayes will be dearly missed by so many. The love and outreaching of the community has been inspirational.

In lieu of flowers we ask you to consider making a donation to the Licking County Humane Society in her name. We know how she loved those fur babies!

Please come as you are to celebrate the life of Nellie; whether it be from the barn or straight from work. Boots and jeans are an every day attire for this family!

Visitation will be held Friday, April 5, 2024 from 11-1 pm at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home where the funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Todd Smeltzer officiating. Burial will follow the service at Fredonia Cemetery.
