Neva L. Hollis, 99 of Newark passed away on September 16, 2024 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was born on March 5, 1925 in Clarington, OH to the late Ralph Harrison and Lillian Mattie (Ollom) Hugi.

She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church where she was also a member of Esther's Circle, Candle Lighters and Chancel Guild. She enjoyed playing bingo, euchre and diamond painting.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl Holton, Dale Richard (Sandy) Hollis and Janeen Andrews; grandchildren, Jill (Michael) Holton Arrasmith, Amanda (Amy Gartner) Andrews, Bryan (Sharon) Hollis, Kimberly (Eric DePuy) Holton, Diane (Griffin) Chadwick, Andy (Char Guinsler) Hollis, Angela (Joe Reichardt) Andrews and J.R. (Mandy) Rine; great-grandchildren, Keegan Andrews-Gartner, Ethan and Evelyn Barnes, Aria and Mason Chadwick, Clayton and Katelyn Hollis, Aubrey Foulk, Rowan Hollis and Wyatt and Avery Rine.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Francis C. Hollis; granddaughter, Sara Holton; sister, Mary Uldine Boyles Horn; brothers-in-law, Charles L. (Sylvia) Hollis and Robert Hollis.

The family will receive friends from 12-2pm on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark. Funeral service will be held at 2pm with Pastors Todd Frail and Peter Borhauer officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery.
