Norma Ellen Girton

A funeral service for Norma Ellen Girton, 69, of Frazeysburg, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 28, 2023, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with pastor Cory Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Smith Chapel cemetery. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2023, at the funeral home, 985 N. 21 ^st St. Newark.

Norma passed away April 25, 2023, at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Care Center. She was born January 11, 1954, in Newark, to Amy (Evans) Shepler and the late Norman Shepler, Sr.

Norma was very involved with Women of the Moose and Moose Riders. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, cooking, gambling, canning, family, friends, making blankets, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her mother, she survived by her husband, Arthur Lynn Girton; children, Kevin (Jennifer) Nethers, Holly (Chad) Waters, and Amy (Geoffrey) Minor; stepchildren, Shain (Missy) Girton and Jennifer (Don) Richards; brothers, Jim (Vickie) Shepler and Jeff (Margaret) Shepler; grandchildren, Katelynn, Madison, Kylee, Hunter, Chase, Gabriella, Zach, Macie, Jace, Audrey, Karly, Taylor, and Carter; great-grandchildren, Harrison, Parker, Cooper, Sailor, Sage, Everleigh, and Kyson, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Norman Shepler, Jr. and great-granddaughter, Kinsley.
