Norma Louise Moore, 88, of Newark, died Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Center. She was born April 11, 1936 in Eden TWP., OH to the late Vernon and Kathryn (Swick) Nethers.
Norma was a wonderful cook and baker and known for sending cookies and caramels to her friends and family. She enjoyed her weekly games and card playing with her close friend, Nancy Butler. Norma loved her family and she was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her three sons, Tim (Susan) Moore, Gary (Penny) Moore both of Newark, OH and Mike Moore of Rutherfordton, NC; seven grandchildren, Mendy (Scott) Dew of Wilson, NC, Christy (Doug) Smith of Newark, OH, Brian (Amanda Sheets) Moore of Thornville, OH, Jessica (Michael) Saliba of Midland City, AL, Tyler (Natasha) Moore of Phelps, WI, Stacey (Jesse) Walsh of Monroe, NC and MSG Nicholas Moore of San Antonio, TX; 15 great grandchildren, Anna Mills, Joey Moore, Jeffrey Varner, Jackson Moore, Noah and Emilee Walsh, Sydney Dew, Carter and Reagan Smith, Emma Varner, Troy Dew, Hilton Moore, Calina Moore, Levi Saliba and Elsie Moore; three sisters, Gloria Cullison, Charlotte (Skip) McCrillis and Joy (Larry) Pressnell; one brother, Danny (Lisa) Nethers; sister-in-law, Esther Moore; and brother-in-law, Barry Stoll.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry T. Moore (2007); brother, Clifford Nethers; and sister, Kathie (Nethers) Stoll.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Hospice of Central Ohio for the care they provided to Norma and her family.
In accordance with Norma's wishes, no funeral services will be held and a private graveside at Cedar Hill Cemetery will be held at a later date where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Larry.
