Opal Marie Huber, age 93 born January 31, 1932 in Minnie, Floyd County, KY. She left to join her heavenly father on March 11, 2025. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert O. Huber, Sr. and her parents, John Walter Ward and Eliza (Ratliff) Ward, son, Kermit R. Rose, granddaughter, Cassandra L. (Huber) Smith, along with three sisters and a brother.

She is survived by her daughter, Gloria (Boyd) Angle and son, Robert O. (Norma) Huber, Jr.; grandchildren, Steven M. (Megan) Bohlen and Christina M. (Chris) Whiteley; great-grandchildren, Samuel F. and Hannah B. Bohlen, MaKayla Huber, Aubree Whiteley and Angel and Lincoln Smith. After the death of two sisters, she was a substitute-mother for Ronald G. (Debbie) Bartley, Gloria Bartley-Smith and Nancy G. Ferguson. She leaves a host of nieces and nephews and her special life-long friend, Barbara L. Rogge.

She has been a follower of Christ since 1963 and a member of the Newark Free Will Baptist Church. She will be missed by all her family and friends which are too numerous to name.

A celebration of her life will be held at 1pm on Friday, March 14, 2025 at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark with Pastor Mark Tuggle officiating. Calling hours for friends and family will be from 11am-1pm prior to the service. She will be laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery in Alexandria, OH.
