Pamela Sue
Froelich
Nov 27, 1946 — Feb 16, 2024
Newark
On the morning of February 16 the world lost a truly wonderful and caring human being. One who always gave much more than she was asked.
Pam was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all that were fortunate to cross her path.
She was born in Ashland, KY on November 27th, 1946 and was an Army brat. She attended school in Taiwan, and Paris before returning to her roots in the states. Pam graduated from Newark High School in 1964.
After high school she attended Riverside School of Nursing, Ohio State University, and later in life, Middle Tennessee State University while living in Brentwood Tennessee.
Pam was the consummate volunteer, belonging to Zonta, Twig, and serving Babe Ruth Baseball as a volunteer for many years, always giving much much more than was ever expected. She also ran her own business, Resource Secretarial Services.
Pam married Dave Froelich in 1968 and became mother to sons Derek and Daron while residing in Lima, Ohio. She and Dave traveled to England, Scotland, France, Germany, Italy, Monte Carlo and parts in between. Aside from Paris her favorite stop was always Maui which she and Dave visited on numerous occasions.
She was preceded in death by parents Kenneth and Erra Bays and son Daron. Pam is survived by her husband of 56 years, son Derek and daughter in law Katie, granddaughter Morgan Froelich, three wonderful step grandchildren Kyle, Grady, and Sarah Houston and a loving sister Penny Trexel (brother in law, Kent), Nephews - Brian, Jeff, and Erik Trexel.
Pam loved her three Bishon Frise's and her recent rescue, Icy.
She handled her battle with Cancer with an amazing amount of grace and respect with which she lived.
Pam and the family would appreciate any contributions be made to Hospice of Central Ohio and with special thanks to Patty and Valerie.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 4-7 pm at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark. A celebration of life will be announced at a future date.
