Pamela "Pam" Marie Hill, 77, of Newark, died Thursday, September 10, 2026 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was born January 22, 1949 in Glenford, OH to the late Harvey and Ruth (Harper) Gower.
Pam was a creative and talented woman who found joy in many of life’s simple pleasures. She loved tending to her flower gardens and creating her own special fairy garden. She enjoyed embroidery and tole painting, putting puzzles together and took great pleasure in collecting salt and pepper shakers, as well as frog and turtle memorabilia. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. She especially loved her grandchildren and was never one to pass up an opportunity to pick on them and make them laugh. Fun, spunky, and wonderfully sarcastic, she had a personality that could light up a room and a way of making those around her feel loved and entertained. She will be fondly remembered for her creativity, her sense of humor, and the many special memories she created with the people she loved.
She is survived by her children, John (Alicia) Hill, Robert (Amanda) Hill and Carla (Morton) Hill, grandchildren, Johnny (Chyna) Hill, Brandon (Cassandra) Hill, Nathan Hill, Brandon (Mikayla) Rodgers, Cameron (Sierra) Rodgers and Lilly Hill; several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and one sister, Karen Ashcraft.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Jim Gower, A.J. Gower, Harvey Carl Gower, Nola Hartman , Lola Gower, Diane Lane and Kay Hinderly.
Visitation will be held Sunday, September 20, 2026 from 12-2 pm at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark where a memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm.
After the service, there will be refreshments served at the Claylick Bow Club, 12680 Lesley Rd., Heath Ohio 43056. *If you could bring a covered dish, that would be very much appreciated. Meat and drinks will be provided.*
