A Celebration of Life for Paul E. Stought, 85 of Granville will be held at 4pm on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark. The family will receive friends from 2-4pm prior to the service.

Paul passed away on March 27, 2024 at his residence. He was born on August 15, 1938 in Newark, OH to the late Lester Marion and Virginia Catherine (Whitehouse) Stought.

Paul served honorably in the U.S. Air National Guard. He worked at Western Electric, AT&T and Lucent. He was an avid reader and enjoyed puppets and making harps. In his daily routine, he loved to feed the birds and have dogs in his life, especially Pulis (a Hungarian sheep dog), like his first dog, Yam.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Linda N. (Litton) Stought; children, Mark Stought, David Stought and Kathy Weisinger; grandson, Jarod Weisenger; sister, Becky Gibson; brother-in-law, Rod (Paula) Litton; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Stought; and sisters, Marian Stought, Jane Stought and Judy Queen.
