Granville
A native of Springfield, Ohio, and the daughter of M. Ray Weikart and Idella Harshman Weikart, Phyllis Weikart Greene lived in Granville, Ohio for more than 53 years. The widow of Robert H. Greene for 48 of those years, she was a five-decade member of the First Presbyterian Church of Granville, and supported many community activities, including the Granville Garden Club, Granville's first recycling center, the Humane Society of Licking County, and the Women's Shelter. A graduate of Milwaukee-Downer College (later merged with Lawrence University), Phyl completed a year of graduate study at Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies in Washington D.C. before marrying Rob Greene. She is survived by her daughters, Diana Greene Gordon, of Santa Monica, California, and Leslie Greene Neuhoff, of Charlottesville, Virginia; sons-in-law Jeffrey Gordon and Cortland Neuhoff; granddaughter, Haley Neuhoff Engle, and grandson-in-law, Jacob Engle, of Callaway, Maryland; step-grandson Josh Gordon and step-great grandson Nicolas Gordon of Los Angeles. Services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Granville on September 20th, at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, she would have favored donations in her memory to the Humane Society of Licking County, or the First Presbyterian Church of Granville.
