Ralph F. Woltjen Jr.

Ralph F. Woltjen Jr., age 75, of Newark, passed away with his family by his side on September 1, 2026, at his residence. He was born on January 26, 1951, to the late Ralph F. Sr. and Dorothy E. (Cartnal) Woltjen.

He was a proud member of the Newark Elks Lodge #391. He enjoyed playing cards, was an avid golfer, and cherished the memories made with family and friends. A talented athlete in his younger years, he played college basketball.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl R. Woltjen; children, Ralph F. III, Geoffrey Woltjen, Nicholas Woltjen, Verdeana Grover; grandchildren, Braxton Sparrow, Bryson Allen-Grover, Cherae Allen-Grover, Conner, Alexandra, Hannah and Maximus Woltjen; great grandchildren, Amariana Allen-Grover, Aceton Allen-Wiley; brother, Mark (Chris) Woltjen.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Joann Sparrow.
