Ralph “Jerry” J. Wright

A funeral service for Ralph “Jerry” J. Wright, 83, of Pataskala, OH, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 8, 2026, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with Pastor Jerry Sargent officiating. Burial will follow at Smith Chapel. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2026, at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark, OH.

Ralph passed away April 29, 2026, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. He was born February 7, 1943, in Newark, OH, to the late Charles B. and Eura M. (Nethers) Wright.

Ralph was a retired semi-truck driver who logged over one million safe driving miles during his career. He was a devoted member of Reynoldsburg Free Will Baptist Church. Ralph was loved by all who knew him and lived life to the fullest. He had a generous spirit and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He cherished his faith, his family, and his many interests, including American classic cars, horses, and antiques—especially oil lamps. Ralph also had a love for the open road.

Ralph is survived by his children, Nathalie Wright, Chris Wright, Jennifer (Justin Simms) Wright, Jonathan (Gillyan) Wright, and Brittany Wright; sister, Wilma Gray; grandchildren, Kameron Wright, Caiyen Owens, Savannah Wright, Lilah Wright, Eden Owens, and Harper Simms, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Garnett S. (Picklesimer) Wright; siblings, Beatrice Stickle, Delbert Wright, Rachael Holtz, Helen Lavon Ellis, Bertie Hash, and Terry Wright.
