Raymond E. Francis, 88 of Newark passed away on July 29, 2024 at the Selma Markowitz Center in Newark. He was born on March 10, 1936 in Hanover to the late Earl and Hazel (Gleckler) Francis.

Raymond retired from Rockwell/Meritor after 40 years and was a volunteer for the Licking County Aging Program. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, NASCAR, mowing his grass and being a foster parent.

He is survived by his children, Tina (Tim) McPeek, Keith Francis, Todd (Jessica) Francis and Kathy Mix; grandchildren, Megan Pursley, Fawna Apprich, Shawn (Amber) Francis, Bernadette Darkess, Shelly Francis, Carmen (Raven) Mason, Kaylin Francis, Clayton Francis, Thorin Francis and Alice Francis; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marilee Bailes and Dee (Pat) Williams; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Kevin Francis; grandchildren, Sherry Francis and Garrett Crase; brothers, Ronald, Donald and Paul Francis; and sisters, Bonnie Kopp and Norma Jean Miller.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8pm on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark. Funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday at the funeral home with Minister Brandon Moore officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, Newark Church of Christ or Licking County Aging Program.
