Rhonda R. Rees

A Celebration of Life for Rhonda R. Rees, 70, of Newark, OH, will be held at a later date.

Rhonda passed away July 26, 2026, at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Care Center, from complications of ovarian cancer. She was born February 6, 1956, in Coshocton, OH, to the late Donald and Betty (Callentine) Hart.

Rhonda worked as a reservation specialist for Lazy River Campground in Granville, Ohio, where she enjoyed helping others and creating lasting connections. She was a beautiful person, both inside and out, whose kindness, warmth, and genuine spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She was loved by many.

She is survived by her loving husband of 41years, Neil Rees; daughters, Tabby (Basil) Lanham, Erin Shaw, and Tracie (Jack) Shaw; son, BJ (Misty) Shaw; sister, Lavada Eagler; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one niece; one nephew, one great-niece, and one great-great nephew.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tawny Rees.
