Richard D. Holton

     Richard D. Holton, age 91, of St. Louisville, passed away on July 11, 2026, at Arlington Care Center. Richard was born on February 5, 1935, in Eden Twp., to the late Ora and Nellie Irene (Devoll) Holton.

     A devoted public servant, he faithfully served as an Eden Township Trustee for 28 years. He also retired from Columbia Gas of Ohio after a dedicated career, exemplifying a lifetime of hard work, integrity, and service to his community. He was a member of Bladensburg Church of Christ, as well as Purity Grange and the Utica Masonic Lodge, where he enjoyed the fellowship of many dear friends. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his family, whose love and companionship brought him his greatest joy.

     He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Erma I. Holton; children, Dave (Ruth) Holton, Tom (Kay) Holton; grandchildren, Jessica (Martin) Forman, Josh (Chelsie) Little, Elizabeth (Karl) Gant, Melissa (Mike) Previtera; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Pat Smith, Sandy Bagent; and son-in-law, Steve Little.

     In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Elaine I. Little; siblings, Bernice (Joe) West, Catherine (Robert) Humphries, Robert (Janice) Holton, Betty (Richard) Barrett, Norma (Jack) Londot; brothers-in-law, Roger Smith and Richard Bagent.

     The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 5-7 pm at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home. On Friday, calling hours will be held from 10-11 am with the funeral service starting at 11 am with Pastor Ben McKinstry officiating. Burial will take place in Eden Cemetery.
