Robert “Bob” Eugene Hampshire, 76, of Hebron, died Monday, April 20, 2026 at his home. He was born June 8, 1949 in Mt. Vernon, OH to the late Dean and Mariam (Brown) Hampshire.

Bob retired after more than 35 years as a dedicated truck driver, a career marked by hard work and commitment. He was an avid collector of all things John Deere, amassing everything from memorabilia to tractors, and took great pride in maintaining and restoring his collection. Bob enjoyed cheering on the Cleveland Browns and the The Ohio State Buckeyes, and loved spending time outdoors tinkering with his tractors. Known for his resourcefulness, Bob had a remarkable ability to build and fix just about anything.

He is survived by his children, Triscia Anne (Steve) Weakley and Bryon Eugene (Tina) Hampshire; grandchildren, Courtney Hampshire, Corey (Brittany) Hampshire and Brittney (Nick) Hampshire; great grandchildren, Denver, Penelope, Piper and Banks; brothers, Bill (Judy), Dale (Susie), Dave (Tina) and Keith (Mary) Hampshire; mother-in-law, Mary Jane Porter; brothers-in-law, Tom (Cindi) Porter and Mike Porter; sister-in-law, Deb (Dan) Weekley; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Connie; daughter, Tonya Lynn Hampshire; and nephew, Joshua Porter.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Bob to the American SIDS Institute.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 24, 2026 from 6-8 pm at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark. The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 10:00 am with Pastor Wes Humble officiating. Burial will follow the service at Wilson Cemetery.
