Robert Stanton Daugherty, 90 of Newark passed away on May 5, 2025 at his residence. He was born on June 18, 1934 in Glenford, OH to the late Russell and Betty (Wyrick) Daugherty.

Robert was owner of D & P Specialty Company for 20+ years and retired from Sheridan High School after 29 years as a custodian. He was a member of the Lions Club and enjoyed woodworking and gardening. He was a very hardworking, kind, caring and loving dad and grandpa.

He is survived by his daughters, Robin (Chris) Pozzoli and Jodie (Jeff) Hughes; grandchildren, Michael (Jaclyn) Pozzoli, Seth (Kelly) Daugherty, Tyler Pozzoli, Jesse (Ashley) Hughes, Zackary Hughes and Cassandra Daugherty; great-grandchildren, Skylar, Kyla and Lyric Daugherty, Sophia and Hudson Pozzoli and Sadie Hughes; daughter-in-law, Chris Daugherty and her daughters, Megan and Dawn; sister, Ruth Ann (Ray) Kent; brothers-in-law, Dan (Janet) Porter and Howdy (Suzie) Porter; nephew, Jason Kent; girlfriend, Janet Phillips and her children, Lori Stewart (Mark- deceased), Kenny Phillips, Gary Lee (Terry) Phillips, Wendy (David) Compton, Pam (Erwin) Kent and many grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Jean "Porter" Daugherty; and son, Robert Stanton Daugherty, Jr.

A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Lutheran Cemetery in Heath, OH with Pastor John Rushmeyer officiating.
