Robert "Bob" Hoyt

A graveside service for Robert "Bob" Hoyt, 74, of Newark, OH, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday August 16, 2025, at Rocky Fork Cemetery, with Pastor Brandon Moore officiating. A reception will follow at Newark Church of Christ, 179 O'Bannon Ave., Newark, OH 43055.

Bob passed away July 25, 2025, at Arlington Care Center.  He was born March 29, 1951, in Newark, OH, to the late Paul L. Hoyt, Sr. and Dorothy C. (Mackey) Hoyt.

Bob was a 1969 graduate of Licking Valley High School. He worked at Owens Corning for 26 years and his last job was at KDC/ONE Aromair. Bob was a proud member of Narcotics Anonymous for almost 24 years. He will be greatly missed and was known as a genuine loving member. He was always ready to help someone out. He helped coach softball with his sister and watched her play for years as well as watching his nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.  He enjoyed watching OSU basketball and Cleveland Cavaliers.

He is survived by his sister, Valerie (Stephen) Bradley; uncle, William L. Simms; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; cousins, and his significant other, Louella Pratt.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul L. Hoyt, Jr., Phillip L. Hoyt, and David, A. Hoyt; sister, Pamela L. Clark; aunt, Shirley Simms; daughter, Kristy Miller, and niece Katrina Yoder Smith.
