A funeral service for Robert L. Robinson, 84, of Newark OH, formerly of Toboso, will be held at 11am on Friday, May 23, 2025 at Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home, with Deacon Patrick Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Hanover Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 5-7pm on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at the funeral home, 985 N 21st Street, Newark and also one hour prior to the service.

Robert passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025 at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Center with Tina and Teresa by his side. He was born July 24, 1940 in Zanesville, OH to the late Thomas H. Robinson and Dorothy Switzer Robinson.

Robert was a 1958 graduate of Philo High School where he proudly played baseball, basketball, and football. Robert was a very proud veteran, serving 4 years in the United States Air Force. Robert retired from Owens Corning in 1998 after 35 years of service. He then worked at AutoZone Distribution Center for 4 years, retiring in 2003. Robert enjoyed playing golf, playing a game or two of Euchre with friends, coaching girls' softball, and watching his grandson's play sports. He was an avid Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians fan. He also enjoyed the Cincinnati Reds. He enjoyed attending the Licking Valley football and baseball games over the years. Robert was also a member of the American Legion Post 85.

A loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he will be sadly missed his daughters, Tina (Rod) Huhn of St Louisville and Teresa (Mike) Holman of Hanover; 4 grandchildren, Zach (Abigail) Huhn, Lindsey (Tee) Sforza, Jason (Shanna) Holman and Justin (Alaina) Holman. Six great-grandchildren: Madelyn, Timber, Hadley, Sutton, Carter, Sophia and one on the way; niece Dottie (Sam) Mack and nephew Terry (Julie) Holzschuher; his best friend since childhood, Neil & Linda Bailey; friends Brad and Cassie Blizzard and their children Rylan and Kinley, and his beloved Shih Tzu, Charlie.

In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Dian Mathers Robinson; brother Richard "Dick" Robinson, sister Laura Mae Holzschuher, and dear friend, Larry Sherburn.

The family would like to thank Generations Home Health, his longtime nurse Holly, Generations Hospice, Central Ohio Hospice and Dr's Mirza and Gowda for their compassion and care during his illness.
