Robert "Rudy" Pharis, age 87, of Granville, passed away peacefully, holding hands with his loving wife and daughter on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Hospice of Central OH.

Rudy was born April 16, 1938, in Newark OH. He married Carolyn Good on December 28, 1968, gaining 7 brothers and sisters-in-laws.

Rudy loved U of M football and Cincinnati Reds baseball. He also loved mowing grass, his cat kids, Patches and Lucas and shooting.

Rudy is survived by the love of his life and wife of 57 years, Carolyn (Good) Pharis; daughter, Julie and son-in-law, Leonard Mitchell; grandchildren, Brandy (Brett) Thomas, Brian (Rhylam Wolfe) Shelton, and grandson-in-law, Mark Peth.

Rudy was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Hayley Peth, whom he called his "sawed off".

Calling hours will be on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N 21st Street, Newark, OH 43055. A 10 am graveside service at Fredonia Cemetery will take place Friday, October 3, 2025, Pastor Wally McLaughlin officiating.
