Robert William Ricket

A Celebration of Life service for Robert William Ricket, 81, of Newark, OH, will be held at a later date.

Robert passed away August 16, 2026, at his residence. He was born April 23, 1945, in Newark, OH, to the late Robert Orlo and Mary Katherine (Hannigan) Ricket.

Robert was an Army National Guard Veteran. He worked for the Newark City Schools Bus Garage and attended More Life Church. He enjoyed hunting, attending Licking Valley football games, and his morning breakfasts.

He is survived by his sons, John (Liz) Ricket and Jim Ricket; grandchildren, Ashley (Ryan Wilt) Ricket, Tiffany (Austin) Gee, Faith Ricket, Zeke Ricket, Sydney Ricket, and Hunter Ricket; great-grandson, Gideon Gee; brother-in-law, David Priest, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Velma Jordan and Rita Priest.
