Robert S. Fitch, 82 of Newark passed away on August 3, 2024 at his residence. He was born on May 15, 1942 in Newark, OH to the late Robert Ernest and Bertha Jean (Thorton) Fitch.

Robert was a retired Assistant Auditor for Licking County. He was a former volunteer for Hanover Volunteer Fire Department, Sunday School Teacher for Faith United Methodist Church and Little League baseball coach. He enjoyed being an Amateur Radio operator and loved watching Ohio State football.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Christine E. (Whiteford) Fitch; children, Jeannie Miller, Robert Michael Fitch, Amanda (Ron) Reynolds, Jennifer Chism, Bethanee (Michael) Martin and Stephanee Moran; 12 grandchildren, Emily (George), Brandi (Tony), Kaysie (Christian), DJ, Dustin (Erron), Brandon (Taylor), Zach, Ben, James, Jeremiah, Eli and Kyla (Tyler); 13 great-grandchildren, Georgie, Vivienne, Emilia, Cohen, Kyleia, Laila, Harper, Sayler, Kim, Journee, Kaleiya, Remi and Tucker; great-great-granddaughter, Camilla; and brother, Harry (Liz) Fitch.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son-in-law, Kelly Miller.

Private family services will be held at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home.
