Robert Edgar Yost
Robert Edgar Yost of the Laurels of Heath passed away on July 24, 2024 at the age of 59. Bob was the eldest son of the late Howard E. Yost Jr. and Karen Sue (Yost) Boylan. Bob leaves his wife Laura, son and daughter-in-law Corey & Heidi Yost, daughter Candice Yost, mother and (step) father Karen & Tim Boylan as well as sister and brother-in-law Heather (Boylan) and Brad Shull of Baltimore Ohio.
Additionally, Bob will be missed by his aunts Judy Gray, Kay Conners, Fay Daugherty; uncle Donnie Butts; sisters-in-law Lisa Yost, Claudia Boylan, Robin Piteo, Julie Hardbarger; brothers-in-law Andy Boylan, Billy Piteo and their families as well as many extended family members. Bob was preceded in death by his father Howard and his younger brother Randall Lee Yost.
Bob, at the age of 14, began earning money by mowing lawns in his neighborhood. At 15, he (and his brother) joined the Newark Township Fire Department as a Junior firefighter. At 16 he began working at Kroger on Deo Drive, eventually working the night shift so he could build his lawn mowing business. Bob started his company, Execulawn Lawn and Landscaping, a division of RE Yost and Associates. For over 40 years he served many customers in the Licking County area caring for their lawn, landscaping and snow removal needs. Even though Bob had a laid back personality, he loved his family and friends and would help anyone day or night. Bob loved his pets and looked forward to visits from Macy, Karen & Tim, Candice, Judy and Fay especially when they took him a baconator meal. Bob was one of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 40 years.
Thank You to Licking Memorial Hospital for their care and financial support, Heath Fire Department 2 Unit for their emergency response and care, the staff at The Laurels at Heath, Judy Fay Kay and Barb for their frequent visit to The Laurels, Chris & Rosemary Stout for their love and support since grade school and ALL of Bobs friends and acquaintances.
Memorial services are incomplete.
