Roger F. Boggs

A funeral service for Roger F. Boggs, 89, of Newark, OH, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral home. Burial will follow at Newark Memorial Gardens, where military honors will be conducted by the Licking County Veterans Alliance. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, February 16, 2026, at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark.

Roger passed away February 8, 2026, at Newark Rehabilitation. He was born September 14, 1936, in Newark, OH, to the late John C. and Dorothy G. (Griffith) Boggs.

Roger was a United States Army veteran who proudly served his country. He retired from Rockwell International after many years of dedicated service. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and a former member of Newark Moose Lodge #499. In his free time, Roger found great enjoyment and peace in fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Loretta J. (Greenwald) Boggs; son, Rob Boggs; grandchildren, Kimberlea (J.J.) Timberlake, Wyatt (Harley Hart) Boggs, and Amanda (Ryan) Welker; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Jr., Waylon, Abigail, Lilli, and Ellery; sisters-in-law, Linda Boggs, Mary Bruah, and Wave Greenwald; nephews, Phil (Libby) Victor, Jeff (Cindy) Victor, and Scott Bruah; nieces, Judy Brehm and Diane Esworthy, and several other nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his

siblings, Robert, Charles, Olive, and Edgar Boggs and Richard Rose, Dorothy Swartz, and Carol Joy.
