Ronald W. Brand went home to his Lord Jesus Christ early Thursday morning February 1, 2024.

Ron was married to Sandra Brand for 65 years and she preceded him in death a few months ago. Ron is survived by his three children, Ronald W. Brand, Jr. and his wife Lynn, Laurinda S. Gayheart and her husband Scott, Robert W. Brand with Bev Chappelear; five grandchildren, Nick (Sarah), Jessica, Joshua (Jen), Andrew and Nathan (Jodi); seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was known as Ron or Ronnie to his friends, Dad to his children and Grandpa or Ho-Ho to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ron was a US Army veteran, serving just after the end of the Korean War. His name of Ho-Ho resulted from him dressing as Santa Claus for many years. He touched many lives and will be missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Friday, February 9, 2024 at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
