Ronald McKnight passed away on December 31, 2023, at North Newark Altercare. Ronald was born to the late Rev. Wilbur V. and Nadine Ina (Westfall) McKnight, on July 21, 1940.

Ron graduated from Coshocton High School with the class of 1958. After graduation he joined the United States Air Force service 4 years active duty. After Ron received papers for deployment to Newfoundland he married Lina Wilson of Coshocton on August 1, 1961, and had 62 years together and spent many wonderful years vacationing and spending Christmas and New Years in Daytona Beach FL.

Ron was a long haul trucker for 42 years. The first 4 years he worked for Allied Van Line's and Mathis Moving and Storage. Next he went to work for B & L Motor Freight and then became an owner operator for B & L, Able Transit and Truck One. Ron retired from trucking in October of 2005.

Ron loved all his nieces, nephews and neighbor kids, and enjoyed watching them grow up and become productive citizens, parents, and grandparents. Wow what a joy it truly has been!

Ron is survived by his wife, Lina; uncle, James Westfall, of Lavaca, Arkansas, Formerly of Saint Louisville, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Charlotte "Krebs Ramey" McKnight; and a sister-in-law, Myrna Walker of Coshocton.

Ron's request was to have no calling hours but a graveside service. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 11 AM at Smith Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Robert I. Mathis officiating.
