Ronald G. Priest, 87 of Newark passed away on November 17, 2025 at the Selma Markowitz Center. He was born on August 18, 1938 in Newark, OH to the late Lawrence and Lena (Roberts) Priest.

Ron retired from Spencer-Walker Press. He was a member of the React Club, Newark Eagles, Buckeye Lake Seniors and Country Music Association. He also enjoyed camping and fishing.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Shirley E. (Fowler) Priest; sons, Timothy Priest, Mark (Sharon) Priest and Christopher Priest; grandchildren, Jeromy (Christina) Rutter, Chad (Lisa) Williams, Erica (Brent) Loar, Timmy (Madison) Garwick, Alli (Darron) Bruck, Kolton Priest, Emily Priest, Tiffany Priest and Makayla Priest; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Linda (Bob) Fairborn, Toddy (Sonny) Brown and Patty Ann Channel; sisters-in-law, Julia Priest, Sue Priest and Judy Priest; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Dale, Lester, Arlene, Carol, Bill, Richard and Jerry.

The family will receive friends from 3-7pm on Monday, November 24, 2025 and from 10-11am on Tuesday prior to the funeral service at 11am at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark. Burial will follow at Newark Memorial Gardens.
