Roseanna Mae Smith, 80 of Newark passed away on September 12, 2024 at the Selma Markowitz Center. She was born on September 19, 1943 in Newark to the late Harry and Anna Mae (Good) Mummey.

Roseanna graduated from Newark High School and 3B School of Beauty. She worked at Albertsons for many years. She would live stream Engedi Church services and enjoyed her bible study group with Emily Miller and Cathy Mincks. She enjoyed reading, playing euchre with her family, listening to The Doobie Brothers and traveling out West.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, John P. Smith; children, Tara (John) Albert, Thad (Nikki) Houseman and Scott (Heather) Smith; grandchildren, Kelly Miller, Kenneth Miller, Sara Albert, Marissa (Noah) Sease, Avery Houseman, Jack Houseman, Kennedy Houseman and Paul Smith; great-grandchildren, Paige Doan, Mariah Miller, Malachi Sease and Cyrus Sease; siblings, Danny (Tina) Mummey, David (Barbara) Mummey, Don (Tammy) Mummey and Nina Mummey; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Jerry (Brenda) Mummey and Roger Mummey.

No public services will be held at this time.
