Rosemary Clippinger, 88, of Glenford, died Wednesday, September 25, 2024. She was born June 5, 1936 in Columbus to the late Howard and Virginia (Frazier) Farmer.

Rosemary was raised in Newark and was a 1954 graduate of Glenford High School. She was an active member of Old Stone Church of Christ in Newark. She impacted countless lives by teaching Sunday School and volunteering for VBS activities and leading by example. She took her witness on behalf of Christ very seriously. Rosemary and her husband owned Brownsville Country Store and she served as Postmaster for many years at the post office. She and Gordon raised their seven children on the Jersey Dairy Farm. Rosemary was a wonderful cook and loved feeding her family and guests.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Gordon; children, Doug (Marna) Clippinger of Thornville, Bret (Ann) Clippinger of Heath, Deb Barber of Heath, Cheri (Tom) Clow of Thornville, Christi (Jim) Ridenour of Mount Perry and Brian (Buffie) Clippinger of Baltimore; grandchildren, Carrie Clippinger, Sam (Ty) Carnes, Allison (Logan) Pozenel, Miranda Barber, Elizabeth (Tyler) Bruney, Meaghan Barber, Sarah Clow, Austin Ridenour, Trey (Victoria) Barber, Drew (Alina) Clow, Michelle Clippinger and Olivia and Katie Clippinger; and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cathie Clippinger; mother and father-in-law, Lancie and Verna Belle Clippinger; and siblings, Carol Kennedy, Shirley Cooperider, Joann Hamm and Robert Farmer.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Central Ohio for their care and support they provided to Rosemary and her family.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 30, 2024 from 3-7 pm at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark. A funeral service, lead by Chuck Horsley,  will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow the service at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Brownsville.
