Ruth Ann Clark, 89 of Newark passed away on October 11, 2026 at her residence. She was born on August 9, 1937 in Hanover, OH to the late James Enlow and Florence (Ponser) Buckingham.

Ruth was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother who treasured her family above all else. Being a mom was one of her greatest joys. She enjoyed photography and taking pictures, capturing special moments and memories along the way. She also enjoyed spending time at the YMCA.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, James E. Clark, Sr.; sons, James (Cris) Clark, Jr. and John Clark; grandchildren, Sierra Clark, Luke Clark, R.J. Lynn and John Clark II; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, James Buckingham, Mary Buckingham, Doris (Harold) Carroll, John (Maxine) Buckingham and Robert (Wilma) Buckingham.

The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Thursday, October 15, 2026 at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark. Funeral service will be held at 1pm on Friday, October 16, 2026 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hanover Cemetery.
