Sandra Sue Davis

Sandra Sue Davis, 70, of Newark, OH. passed away May 19, 2025, at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born May 12, 1955, in Portsmouth, OH, to the late Everett Franklin Blair and Margaret Eloise (Rose) James

On the 7th of December in 1971, Ben married the love of his life, Sandy, who he had originally found on Candy Run Road. Sandy loved Ben more than anyone. Her biggest pride was her daughters, and her greatest joy was her grandkids. Sandy was a heavy equipment operator. She truly loved her job and was proud of it. Although we will miss spending time crafting, coloring, playing with playdoh, gambling, dancing, sitting at a ball field or family reunion, she was called home and is no longer in pain.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Benjamin Davis; daughters, Michele (Bobby) Strait and Amanda Charles; siblings whom she loved dearly, Joseph (Karen) Zimmerman, Janet (Corky) Caudill, Mike (Diana) Blair, Angie (Carl) McClurg, Bert Blair, Clint Blair, and Sheila (Danny) Cook; grandchildren, Kevin (Samantha) Brown, Austin Deeslie, Krizma (T.J.) Hoffer, Reece Charles, Nelson Carter Charles, Bristal Davis, and Dalton Charles, and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, George David Zimmerman; sister, Barb Zimmerman Tackett; son-in-law, Nelson Charles, and sister-in-law, Kellie Blair.
