Saundra "Sonni" G. Piper, age 57, of Newark, passed away on November 1, 2024, at the Selma Markowitz Care Center. Sonni was born on September 12, 1967, to Helen Jane Piper in Newark, Ohio.

Sonni worked as a RN for many years and was passionate about caring for others. She loved spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren. Sonni enjoyed watching reality tv, online shopping, and music. She also enjoyed cooking for her family and loved animals.

Sonni is survived by her husband, Phillip E. Maynard; children, Kaitlyn (Alex) Wovrosh, Krista (Tyler Rex) Richards, Kendyl Richards; grandchildren, Evan Wovrosh, Piper Richards; siblings, Sue Swartz, Larry Johnson, Pat Piper, and Bill Piper.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jane (Walter) Piper; and brother Mike Scharbonneau.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 12:30 - 1:30 PM at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, where her service will immediately follow with Chaplin Dave Mason officiating. The burial will take place in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
