Sharon Kay Ashcraft, 82 of Newark passed away on December 1, 2025 at Middleton Assisted Living. She was born on May 18, 1943 in Bellefontaine, OH to the late James I. and Joanne (Rollins) Borror.
Sharon dedicated many years to serving as the secretary and treasurer of the family business, Ashcraft Machine and Supply Company. She was a past member of First Presbyterian Church in Newark. She was also active in her community and was a member of The Newark Elks and the Newark Jaycees. She devoted countless hours volunteering at North Elementary School, Meals on Wheels, and serving as a Brownie leader for the Girl Scouts. She had a lifelong love of needlework, cross-stitch, and crocheting, creating beautiful pieces that her family will forever cherish. She also enjoyed collecting baseball cards.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Larry Ashcraft; children, Lori (Alan) Spinnenweber, Michael (Julie) Ashcraft and Kara (Tom) Carson; grandchildren, Ryan Ashcraft, Logan (Keionna) Ashcraft, Annie (Marc Rochotte) Spinnenweber, Chloe, Jane and Nolan Carson; brother-in-law, Jerry (Betty) Ashcraft; sister-in-law, June Stickle; many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Joan Seel; brothers-in-law, Howard Stickle and OJ Clark; and sister-in-law, Janis Clark.
The family would like to thank the staff at Middleton Assisted Living for their wonderful care.
The family will receive friends from 10-12pm on Friday, December 5, 2025 at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark. An Elks service will begin at 12pm with a funeral service to follow with Rev. Dr. John Minihan officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Rd., Newark, OH 43055.
