Sharon Louise Hart (née Mott), of Granville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025, at the age of 82. Sharon was born on November 5, 1942, in What Cheer, Iowa, to the late William A. and Lois (Stanley) Mott.

She was the youngest of five children and was raised in Council Bluffs and graduated from Olney Friends School in Barnesville, Ohio. Sharon went on to earn a degree in Botany and a teaching certificate from Iowa State University, where she met her future husband, engineering student David Paul Hart. Sharon and David were united in marriage on December 19, 1964, in a Quaker ceremony, a union that would become the foundation of a lifetime of love, partnership, and shared commitment. Together, they founded and operated two successful businesses, where Sharon held a multitude of roles—receptionist, secretary, accountant, forklift driver, assembler, brazier/welder, logistician, human resources specialist, communications coordinator, treasurer, and president. Her compassion, adaptability, intelligence, and tireless work ethic were central to the success of their ventures. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Sharon was a devoted mother, raising two daughters, along with a host of cherished family pets. Her home was filled with love, laughter, and the warmth of a nurturing spirit.

She is survived by her daughters, Laura (Phil Love) Hart-Love  and Teresa (Dejan Bratuljevic) Hart; grandchildren, Riley (Brandon Allmon) Love, Quinn Love, and David Bratuljevic; sister, Floy Irwin; sisters-in-law, Judy Campbell and Sue Hart; brother-in-law, Bill (Connie Cramer) Hart; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews who affectionately knew her as "Aunt Sharon." Her legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering dedication to her family will live on in the many lives she touched.

In addition to her parents, Sharon is preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Hart; siblings, William Lewis Mott, Lawrence Mott, and Wilma Crawford.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 1 - 2 PM at the CherryValley Hotel, 2299 Cherry Valley Road SE, Newark, Ohio 43055. Her Celebration of Life service will be held immediately following at 2 PM with refreshments at 3 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to causes that reflect Sharon's lifelong values of compassion, education, and community service, including Olney Friends School, the Central Ohio Food Bank, or Heifer International.
