Shirley Ann Brehm, 97, of Newark, died Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Embassy of Newark. She was born April 21, 1927 in Zanesville to the late Harry and Myrle (Achauer) Burgess.

Shirley graduated from Newark High School class of 1946. She was a member of TOPPS with her sister Jean and she was also a member of NARVE (National Association of Retired and Veteran Railway Employees). She enjoyed fishing, crafting, creating flower arrangements and being around family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Michael (Kay) Brehm; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Robert Brehm; sisters, Pat Perkins, Jean Wilson and Joan Drake; and brothers, Don, Jack and Junior Burgess.

A graveside service will be held Friday, February 7, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Newark Memorial Gardens.
