Sonja M McCann

Sonja M. McCann, age 55, of Newark, passed away on September 4, 2026 at her residence with her family by her side. Sonja was born on October 25, 1970, to the late Allan Girado and Martina “Vance” Wickizer.

She enjoyed photography and cherished the time she spent with her family. She especially loved supporting and celebrating her grandchildren, always taking pride in their accomplishments and being there for them.

Sonja is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Chad McCann; children, Danielle (Josh) Havens, Chad McCann Jr.; grandchildren, Jordan Ellke, Landon Havens; sister, Susan Harder; father-in-law, Tom (Patricia) McCann; and mother-in-law, Cookie (Roger) Keener.
