Steven "Steve" Richard White of Newark, OH passed away on February 24, 2026. He was born on January 20, 1961 in Buffalo, NY to the late Dorothy (Hendricks) and Malcolm White.

He is survived by his daughters and sons in law Brooke & Jordan Wheeler and Natalie & Trey Freeman, as well as his two granddaughters Harper Wheeler and Eliza Freeman. Siblings Bob (Charlotte) White, Barb White, Marilyn (Deb) Christopher, Judy White, Leslie (Troy) Boucher, Jon (Tonya) Glaser, Tim (Linda) Marchal, step-mother Connie White and Uncle Bob (Susie) Hendricks. As well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother Dorothy (Hendricks) Marchal, step-sister Leslie Bastendorf, step-dad Eugene Marchal and dad Malcolm White.

Steve came from a big family that he loved very much and whom he enjoyed spending time with. He loved to drive and worked for Frito Lay, Swift and Lyft. He was a fan of Michigan football, the Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds, Syracuse basketball and NASCAR. He will be remembered as a kind and stubborn man with a knack for instigating mischief and for stirring the pot — always all in good fun. He enjoyed keeping people on their toes and would flash that grin of his when he got caught. That goofy side of him brought laughter into the room and made even the ordinary moments memorable.

The family would like to express appreciation to the nurses, techs and staff who took care of Steve at Cherry Valley Davita Dialysis. They were a bright spot in his days while doing treatment.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 2, 2026 from 6-8 pm at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
