Taylor passed away unexpectedly on October 31, 2026, at Licking Memorial Hospital surrounded by loved ones. He was born on April 21, 1993, in Columbus, Ohio.
Taylor was a 2011 graduate of Newark High School, where his passion for wrestling ran deep. He bled Newark High School wrestling and proudly gave back to the sport he loved by coaching. He worked for Kroger and was known for his stubborn spirit, loving heart, and the smile that was almost always on his face. Taylor was a proud mama’s boy who never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with just about anyone. He enjoyed playing Keno and, most of all, making memories with the people he loved. Taylor will be remembered for his big heart, his unmistakable personality, and the love he had for his family, friends, and Newark wrestling.
He is survived by his life partner, Jordan Forbes; mother, Michelle (Paul Prince) Brokaw; father, Eric L. Taylor; lovingly raised by Barry (Charlina) Henderson; siblings, Barri (Jeffrey) Brokaw, Kaysey Brokaw, Kaylyn (James) Kindred, Dae’za (Jacob) Henderson, Mekhi Henderson, Zach Layne-Wolfe, and Tarren (Mallory) Taylor; grandparents, Vivian Taylor and Patricia and Barry Henderson; aunt, Melissa Lackey and many other aunts and uncles; cousin, Kaylee Lackey and many other cousins and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frank and Sherry Brokaw; brother, David Hood, and his cat Patches.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Epilepsy Foundation or Newark High School Wrestling.
