Teresa Dawn (Williams) Smoke, age 77, of Newark, passed away at Riverside Methodist Hospital Sunday, March 29, 2026. She was born in Chillicothe, Ohio on December 11, 1948, to the late Edwin W. and Betty Mae (Donahue) Williams.

Teresa loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grand and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed working at her church, traveling, playing card games, and shopping at Goodwill.

She is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Steven Smoke; children, Rhonda Payne, Tom (Shaunna) Harris, Jackie Fitch, Kim (Bill) Hall, Steve (Janet) Smoke, Tim Smoke, Lisa (John Buehler) Smoke, and Jeremy (Vickie Stermer) Smoke; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Becky Smith and Vicki Horn; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson,Timothy Hashman and brother, Eddy Williams.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the Olive Green Church of Christ and Christian Union, 12800 Olive Green Rd, Sunbury, Ohio 43074. Visitation will be followed by a 12 p.m. funeral service at the church, Pastor Robert Whightsel officiating.
